Actress Rakhi Sawant hits the headlines as the Amboli Police arrest her due to a complaint filed by actress Sherlyn Chopra. Rakhi intended to launch her dance academy too soon and got charged based on a Police complaint filed by Sherlyn Chopra in 2022. Sherlyn Chopra only announced the breaking news on her Twitter handle. Sherlyn wrote, "Amboli Police has arrested Rakhi Sawant in respect of FIR 883/2022. Yesterday, Rakhi Sawant's ABA 1870/2022 was rejected by the Mumbai session court."

Sherlyn had filed a complaint against Rakhi Sawant, alleging that she unconfirmed her objectionable photos and videos on social media. It was noticed that Rakhi and Sherlyn had loggerheads last year. Sherlyn filed a complaint against Rakhi in November last year in the Amboli police station under sections 354A (sexual harassment), 500 (defamation), 504 (intentional insult), and 509 (insulting a woman's modesty by act, word, or gesture) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 67 (transmission of obscene content in electronic form) of the IT Act against Sawant and her lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt. Rakhi has filed a complaint against Sherlyn in Oshiwara police station under sections 354A and 509 of the IPC.
