Here’s why Shraddha Arya turned down Star Plus’ offer to be part of their upcoming show Smart Jodi
A couple of days ago, we reported that Star Plus is gearing up to launch a unique reality show, featuring some of the popular real-life couples from showbiz. Titled Smart Jodi, the show will see several celebrity couples participating and competing with each other to win the title.
A couple of promos of Smart Jodi are already out. Rahul Mahajan-Natalya Ilina and Neil Bhatt-Aishwarya Sharma have been confirmed as the first few contestants on the show. The channel is expected to announce the names of the rest of the participants soon.
According to reports, the makers had also approached popular television actress Shraddha Arya to join the show along with her husband Rahul Nagal. For those not in the know, the Kundali Bhagya actress married Indian Navy commander Rahul Nagal in November 2021.
The makers wanted Arya along with her husband because she is a well-known face on Indian television. However, the actress turned down the offer and for a very valid reason.
“The makers and channel were quite keen on Shraddha Arya and her husband, Rahul Nagal. She is a big face and has a good personality too. However, she rejected the show politely. It seems her husband who is in the Indian Navy cannot be part of such shows. He is not permitted to do these things. Moreover, he is posted at his base,” a source in the know informs a publication.
