Filmmaker and director Farah Khan speaks about the most famous track, 'Aankhon Mein Teri' song in the film, 'Om Shanti Om' from 2007. She reveals that the earlier song was not planned to be in the film, but later it was planned to incorporate into the film. 'Om Shanti Om' was one of the popular films by Farah Khan in which Shah Rukh Khan played a double role where, as actress Deepika Padukone did her Debut in the Bollywood film industry. The film received massive success at the box office, and several Bollywood stars also made cameo appearances.
Farah Khan visits Indian Idol 13, a singing reality show, to celebrate the Farah Khan special episode. The filmmaker was amazed by the contestant's marvelous voice, whereas the contestant Rishi Singh took her attention by singing the 'Aankhon Mein Teri' song from her film. She appreciates the contestant by saying, "Rishi, you are too good at singing. It was a legendary performance in the 'Indian Idol' season. I am your fan, as whenever we open social media, it's always you."
She said, "It is one of my favorite songs. This song was picturized before the film, and when the movie got over, that time Vishal made us listen to the tune. After hearing it I told him, 'I wanted this song in the film,' and our editor again re-edited the song so beautifully that it looked like we had shot the film on this song."
She adds, "There was no planning done for this song, and it was never supposed to be in the movie, but I am grateful to Vishal and Shekhar for giving me this."
