Indian Idol 13: Himesh Reshammiya mentions how contestant’s personality helps them connect with the audience and further praises host Aditya Narayan

One of the most popular and loved singing reality shows on Indian television, Indian Idol, has provided many aspiring singers the chance to shine on a national scale. The 13th season of the singing reality show will premiere this weekend. Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar, and host Aditya Narayan participated in a digital press conference on Tuesday prior to the launch. Along with discussing the next season, they answered questions from the media and provided a sneak peek into their enjoyable rapport.

At the conference, Himesh was asked what it takes to captivate the crowd, Reshammiya said that it's always their overall presence on stage. He added that since it is a visual medium, what is shown on the screen always plays a crucial part.

He elaborated, “Earlier singers were only pushed to playback and hence had no personal connection. Any song would be identified by the hero in it. Today, they are on cameras and known faces themselves. Also, this is not a radio show, and in times of social media, your visual appearance plays an important part. As the world progresses, your personality is what it takes to connect with the audience. Be it just your expression, your clean heart, or just the person you are, the connection is straight from the heart.”

Himesh spoke about his bond with his co-judges and went all praises for the show’s host Aditya Narayan

“Through this show, each one of us has learned to appreciate and respect talent. While we have a lot of fun, we are also building on a community of friendship and music. There is always the pressure to shoot but we love getting together. And Aditya is the best host around. He just does one take and shoots like a star. He also has this amazing connection with the contestants. Aditya’s energy while introducing the first performance till the last remains the same, and he is just amazing to be around on set.”
