Indian Idol, one of the most popular and prominent singing reality shows on Indian television, has given many aspiring singers the opportunity to shine on a national level. The 2004-debuted show has offered the nation incredible vocals like Salman Ali (season 10 winner), Sunny Hindustani (season 11 winner), and most recently Pawandeep Rajan (season 12 winner), who mesmerized the country with his beautiful voice. The reality show is back with a new season after captivating audiences around the world. The ultimate trio of judges—Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya, and Vishal Dadlani—will return for the upcoming season's premiere!
Neha Kakkar shared her excitement about the new season saying, "From being a contestant to judging Indian Idol today, the journey for me has been really beautiful. Indian Idol is a platform that recognizes deserving talent and gives them the opportunity to convert their dreams into reality. Indian Idol 13 which is slated to premiere soon will be making a musical comeback with chosen talents from across India. I am excited to find India’s next Davedaar.”
Singer and composer Vishal Dadlani who also returns to the judge’s panel this year added, “Indian Idol" is an emotion for me. Every season of this show has brought forth increasingly better talent! Yet again this season, I am really looking forward to finding the country’s next Davedaars for the title of Idol. It's great that we get to showcase talent from the farthest parts of our country. We have a truly unbelievable pool of singers vying to be the next Davedaars for the most prestigious title on Television, Indian Idol.”
Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar, and Himesh Reshammiya served as the judges for Indian Idol 12's initial weeks. Later, Vishal was replaced by Anu Malik, and Neha was replaced by Sonu Kakkar on the panel. This year's season of Indian Idol will once again be hosted by the endearing Aditya Narayan, who has done so for the previous few seasons.
It is too soon to guess about the official release date while the Indian idol auditions are still taking place. Regardless of the date, the show will debut on Sony TV.
