Kapil Sharma clears rumours about rift between him and Akshay Kumar
There were rumours that Akshay Kumar would not promote any of his movies on the popular comedy talk show, The Kapil Sharma Show. Host Kapil Sharma has now denied the rumours.
Reportedly, Akshay Kumar was on the show to promote his film Atrangi Re (2021). During the conversation, Kapil Sharma asked Akshay about his interview with a particular famous personality, where the actor had asked him about how he liked eating mangoes. The ‘famous person’ in the conversation is PM Narendra Modi, with whom Akshay Kumar had done an interview in 2019. Akshay challenged Kapil to name the personality, but Kapil changed the subject.
Akshay requested not to air that part as it challenges the dignity of the PM's office. However, the clip got leaked, resulting in the breach of Akshay Kumar’s trust by someone from Kapil’s team. As a result of this, there were reports coming in that Akshay would not promote any of his future movies on the show again.
But to clear the rumours, Kapil shared a tweet where he stated that all is well between him and the actor. He wrote, “Dear friends, I was reading all the news in the media about me and Akshay Paji. I have just spoken to Paji and sorted all this. It was just a miscommunication. All is well and very soon we will be meeting to shoot the Bachchan Pandey episode. He is my big bro and can never be annoyed with me.”
Bachchan Pandey is scheduled to release on March 18, on the occasion of Holi.
