Amitabh said that Sarojini was present at a fundraising event for the earthquake victims of Bihar where Begum Akhtar performed. Sarojini was so impressed by Begum Akhtar's singing that she encouraged her to take up singing as a profession.
Amitabh also shared that his parents' intercaste marriage was not accepted by their families initially. However, they eventually agreed to the marriage and all the bonds were restored. Amitabh's father deliberately gave him the surname Bachchan instead of Srivastava to avoid any caste identity.
