Madalsa Sharma Sheds Light On Violent And Brutal Content On OTT

Actress Madalsa Sharma says that OTT, as a platform, has some of the most violent and brutal content today. She adds that as a viewer, she doesn’t care much for such content, but admits that it is a trend now to make such shows.

“There is a lot of content that shows violence and brutality on OTT. I personally don't like to watch such content. To some viewers, it is a source of stimulation. Not for me. I love adventure, romance, action thrillers etc. I find brutality morbid,” she says.

She adds, “Showcasing violence, crime etc is a trend that comes and goes. If today it is crime, maybe tomorrow it will be comedy or romance. There is a constant tribulation in the minds of people due to various reasons, personal, social, political and economic. We all want to escape, we choose our get aways as per our taste and choices. Kashmir files and Kerala Story are different. They are more educational films. It is necessary to open the eyes of the societies to certain social issues. But whether the producer's intention was the same is a question.”
