Not Jimmy Shergill but Ronit Roy to pair with Sangeeta Ghosh in Ravi and Sargun’s next show on Colors
Buoyed up by the terrific response that their maiden production venture Udaariyaan has received, actors-turned-producers Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta are gearing up to launch a new show on the same channel, Colors. The duo will produce it under the banner of Dremiyata Productions.
The upcoming show has been grabbing a lot of attention lately for its casting updates. If reports are to be believed, actors Sangita Ghosh, Karan V Grover and Srishti Jain are in consideration to play significant characters on the show. Some media outlets also report that it is on the lines of the much-loved Bollywood film Baghban (2003).
The makers had recently approached Bollywood star Jimmy Sheirgill for an important role. The actor had even confirmed being approached, adding that he was yet to sign on the dotted line. Now, a leading publication reports that the deal with Sheirgill did not materialise and the makers have now roped in popular television star Ronit Roy for the same role.
If the report is to be believed, Roy will soon shoot a promo for the show. He has been paired opposite seasoned actress Sangita Ghosh. Roy has a long list of shows to his credit, including Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Nahi Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Adaalat to name a few.
