PV Sindhu continued by describing how Sachin Tendulkar honored his pledge to give her a car if she took home a silver medal. When Kapil questioned PV Sindhu if Sachin Tendulkar had called to tell him that she had won gold this time, Sindhu replied, "He called and congratulated me. He promised to return and give me a car again if I won a medal in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, the last time I recall when I competed in the Commonwealth Games for the first time in 2014. He made sure to come and give me the car after receiving the award, and I appreciate him for doing this since it genuinely made me happy.
