Puja Banerjee plays the character of Vanraj’s girlfriend in Anupama – Namaste America

Hotstar Specials’ Anupama – Namaste America, which is an 11-episode prelude to the successful Star Plus show Anupama, will offer viewers a closer look at Anupama’s life a few years into her marriage.
Rupali Ganguly, who plays the lead role on television, reprises her popular role along with Sudhanshu Pandey as her husband, Vanraj Shah. Joining them on the cast of the prequel will be actress Puja Banerjee who has been roped in to play Vanraj’s love interest Ritika.
Banerjee is excited to be a part of Anupama – Namaste America. Sharing her excitement, she told a publication, “I am ecstatic to be cast in the show. I play a very bold and empowering character in the project and that’s why I can relate to the character. I am so glad that I am finally talking about this. I had to be tight-lipped about the same for a long time now.”
When asked what led her to sign the project on the dotted line, she said, “Honestly, I did not even think twice before signing the show. I always wanted to work with Rajan Shahi and things couldn’t materialise in the past. When Ritika was offered to me, I didn’t want to lose the chance to work with the team and instantly took the offer.”
