Actress Raushni Srivastava dedicates her journey in showbiz to her late beloved father, Mr. S. K. Srivastava. She made her acting debut with Raghukul Reet Sada Chali Aayi, which featured superstar Rajesh Khanna and has been part of many TV shows like ‘Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai,’ ‘Koi Toh Ho Ardhnarishwar’ and ‘Zindagi Ke Rang.’
She says, “My father is my inspiration. He passed away back in December 2020. I feel he is watching over me like a guardian angel and making positive things happen for me. Papa used to watch all my performances, big or small. He always encouraged me and appreciated my best performances. I remember he loved my performance as a lawyer in a regional language Rajasthani film. He also loved my performances in a few shorts, “The Long Drive,” “Choices,” and “Coffee & Secrets,” which are all streaming on the leading OTT platform directed by Ravie Ravan Kathuria. Papa also loved my performance in the short “Mr. & Mrs. Charlie,” streaming on the leading OTT platform, directed by Amar Jeet.”
Raushni Srivastava has won awards and recognition for her performances from festivals around the world. She was recently featured in a few thought-provoking short stories: “My Mom” and “#Woman Talks,” directed by Abhishek Kumar Singh and streaming on the leading OTT platform.
Raushni previously also made her singing debut and has acted in the music videos “Love The Mystery” and “Don’t Don’t.” She is proud and grateful that “Don’t Don’t,” directed by Abhishek Kumar Singh, won fourth place in the music video #closeup category at the London Music Video Festival, and she won the bronze medallion at the Global Music Video Awards in the music video category.
She added, "I strongly believe that these successes flow from my father’s blessings working for me. She notes of her upcoming project, “‘Tyypes of LOVE’ is very close to my heart, and I dedicate this piece of art to my father,” concluded the actress.
