Sakshi Tanwar, who has received critical acclaim for her performance in Mai (2022), has spoken out about her time on television. Tanwar is well recognised for her role as Parvati in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, produced by Ekta Kapoor. She starred in the show, which ran on television from October 6, 2000, to October 9, 2008.
The actress recently revealed that filming the show had a negative impact on her personal life. Sakshi used to believe that her work was everything. Her personal life suffered as a result. In the eight years she worked on the show, she didn't get to attend many events.
Sakshi revealed what she learned after working on the show for so many years while talking about how working on TV helps an artist refine his or her skills. She said, "Nothing polishes you like television; it’s that daily polishing of your craft. It’s very demanding. But what I have learned is that there has to be a balance in everything, including your work. There was a time when my work was my everything. When I was shooting for Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, that was the only thing I was doing for those eight years. I did not attend any weddings, nothing. I wouldn’t get time."
Sakshi wishes to spend more time with her daughter Dityaa after spending so many years working. She went on to say that she takes her to and from school every day. The actress has finally figured out how to strike a balance between her professional and personal lives. She now works part-time to fit her life around her daughter and family, claims the actress.
