Shikha Singh, who rose to prominence after essaying the character of Alia Mehra on Ekta Kapoor’s successful daily soap Kumkum Bhagya, is set to make her comeback to TV. Yes, you heard it right! The actress, who had taken a break from work due to her pregnancy, is raring to go yet again. She has been finalised to play a senior police officer in Kapoor’s fantasy show Naagin 6. The actress delivered a baby girl in June 2020.
Talking about her character to a leading portal, Singh excitedly said, “I have always opted for strong roles and playing a cop is one. I am super excited and delighted that after I gave birth to Alayna, I am getting to play such an action-packed role. The show is seeing a lot of twists and turns and there will be a lot of adventure. Playing a cop in the show should be interesting.”
When asked about returning to the sets after a long break, the actress said, “It was a tough time reducing weight and getting fitter, but I was determined and persistent. More than that, I am happy that I was not offered a mommy role because I am a mother now and the makers thought of casting me in a supernatural show as a cop.”
