Star Plus to axe Vidrohi in March
According to reports, Star Plus is set to pull the plug on its high-profile historical drama Vidrohi. The show, produced by Gatha Productions, will air its final episode next month in March.
Vidrohi is based on the times of the pre-independence British era and explores the life-journey of Odia freedom fighter Bakshi Jagabandhu. It stars popular television actor Sharad Malhotra, Sulagna Panigrahi and Hemal Dev in lead roles.
The show hit the airwaves in October 2021, but it failed to click with the audience. The makers have now decided to axe it on Saturday 5th March 2022 due to poor TRPs. An official announcement is highly awaited though.
We have learned that Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar, starring Ankit Siwach and Swati Rajput in principal characters, will be replacing Vidrohi on Star Plus.
