The actress, who played Roshan Sodhi in the sitcom, levelled serious accusations against Asit and two more members of the production company. In March 2023, Jennifer said goodbye to the show after more than a decade of participation.
Serious accusations were made against Asit Modi, Jatin Bajaj (executive producer), and Sohail Ramani (project manager) by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal. She filed a complaint against the group, alleging that they harassed her in a sexual manner on the ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ set.
A portal reported that the actress had stopped shooting for ‘TMKOC’ two months prior. She said that Sohail and Jatin 'insulted' her, forcing her to leave the set of the show. Jennifer finally revealed the same after keeping quiet about it for a while.
Jennifer stated that she completed filming for the final episode of Taarak Mehta on March 6, 2023 confirming her departure from the show. She said that while working on the set, she was "subjected to humiliation and insult."
She asserted that there were other occurrences on the ‘TMKOC’ set, but she choose to remain silent. She revealed the details of the situation, claiming that she was fired while pregnant because Gurucharan Singh, the actor who had previously played her on-screen husband, was leaving the programme.

The actor has stated that Asit Modi has previously pursued her sexually. She admitted to the portal that she disregarded all of his advice out of concern that she would lose the job. The actress continued, saying the crew tried to 'forcefully halt' her on the set and wouldn't let her go. She mentioned that she complained to the authorities last month and claimed that she never heard back.
