TMKOC: Producer Asit Kumar Modi promises Disha Vakani to return to the hit show

There is no denying the fact that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular shows on television. The pairing of Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) and Daya Ben (Disha Vakani) was the favorite jodi of the audience in the show. However, after Disha's indefinite exit from the show, fans are missing her a lot. Even after years, there is a lot of demand to bring this character back into the show.

With reports floating about Disha Vakani's return to the show, nothing special was ever said by the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Talking about the return of Disha Vakani, the chances are still up and down. But from what we hear now, the character of Daya Ben will definitely return after a long time, and the same has been confirmed by producer Asit Kumar Modi.

The producer told an entertainment portal, “We have no reason to not get back Daya Ben’s character. But we all have faced difficult times in the recent past. 2020-21 was a very tough phase for all of us. But now that things have gotten better, in 2022 koi bhi achhe samay par we are going to bring back the character of Daya Ben (We'll look for the perfect time and bring her character back) and the audience will once again get to see the entertainment of Jethalal and Daya Bhabhi.”

Elaborating further, Modi refrained from commenting on Disha's return, but the actress is like family to him. "I don’t know yet if Disha Vakani will be back as Daya Ben. We still have a very good relation with Disha ji, we are like a family. But now she is married and has a kid and everyone gets busy with their own responsibilities. We all have our personal life, so I won’t be able to comment on that. Lekin joh bhi Disha Ben or Nisha Ben but you will surely get to Daya Ben and we as a team will try our best to give the same entertainment that we gave you before."

Disha took a maternity break in 2017 and never returned to the show. In November 2017, she was blessed with a baby girl named Stuti.
