Want To Do Roles Which Are Opposite to What I Have Played in Imlie: Sumbul Touqeer Khan
After a successful stint in one of the biggest reality shows, a successful career on TV, and a film with Ayushmann Khurrana, now actress Sumbul Touqeer wants to try her hand at OTT. The actress says that she is open to good work, but is aware that it will take time to achieve her dream.
“I think I would love to go for a web series or a film but I think it is going to take a little time. But in case I get an offer for a daily soap as well, which is a good opportunity according to me and my father, then I would love to do that because, for me, work is work. But it's just that I want to do fiction because it is my actual love,” she says.
The actress was seen in ‘Article 15’, and wants to be part of more films. “In films, I think I would love to work with Anubhav Sinha again because I have worked with him in ‘Article 15’ and it was a great experience. And, in fact, I would love to work with each and every director because I think everyone has a different way or style of working and I would love to explore everything,” she says.
Ask her if she has a dream role, and she says, “I don't have a particular dream role. I just want to explore each and every kind of role because I want to challenge myself, explore myself and see how far I can go and how much better I can do. I think I will only get to know that when I explore different roles. I want to do the opposite of ‘Imlie’, the character I have played on screen. I want to play a grey character or negative character. I love acting, it is my passion. I love to work on the scripts. And if I am satisfied with the work I have done in a day, I am able to sleep peacefully.”
