Why was Fahmaan Khan sceptical about taking up Imlie?

Actor Fahmaan Khan, who recently joined the cast of Star Plus’ successful show Imlie, has said that he was initially sceptical about coming onboard the show as the third wheel. Fans know that the show basically revolves around the love story of Imlie and Aditya, and hence Khan was a little apprehensive about joining the cast.
“Every character I take up, every job I take up, I have only thought of giving it my best, be it the cameos that I have done to the lead characters that I am playing today. I was a little sceptical initially to take up the show, but the moment I met the creative and got a little understanding of the character, there was no looking back. I knew I wanted to play Aryan Singh Rathore,” the actor told a leading publication.
More often than not it has been seen that the new actor entering any popular show as a third-wheel faces some sort of backlash from the fans of the show. Did Khan think the same before signing Imlie on dotted lines? “Fans are extremely intelligent and smart. They know and appreciate good work, so no there was no fear as such,” he signed off.
