The Haddi teaser shows Nawazuddin as Haddi, a violent transgender who becomes a vindictive criminal. A terrifying monologue, he says, "Why do people fear us? Our blessings and curses are powerful. And what's scarier? It's our revenge." The trailer follows him from Allahabad to Delhi to join a transgender community as an amateur transsexual surviving small offences.
As his power grows, Haddi rises to the pinnacle of the criminal hierarchy. Throughout his rise, he wants payback against Anurag Kashyap's powerful gangster-politician, who wronged his transgender family lead by Ila Arun. The film stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shridhar Dubey, Rajesh Kumar, Vipin Sharma, and Saharsh Shukla.
'Haddi' is a Zee Studios and Anandita Studios crime vengeance drama directed and co-written by Akshat Ajay Sharma and Adamya Bhalla. The film opens September 7. Nawazuddin Siddiqui said he immersed himself in the transgender community to understand their feelings.
He understood the community's desire to embrace their femininity as he played the part. This preparation psychologically and physically fatigued him following shots. However, Nawazuddin's passion shines through in 'Haddi.'
