Former Miss Universe and Bollywood star Lara Dutta, who is looking forward to the premiere of her streaming show Hiccups and Hookups, has said that she has never been on any dating apps. However, the actress admitted to having helped a friend create his profile. Dutta recently had to issue a clarification after a fake profile in her name surfaced on a dating app.
Talking to a publication, the actress said that people keep asking her if she has ever been on a dating site? “I mean, obviously not. They did not exist at the time that I was dating. I have been married now for 11 years, so, not intending on getting on one in a hurry now. I actually helped a friend set up their profile on Tinder. He is a divorced, single man. I was like ‘I am gonna make your profile’. But for the longest time, I have not checked with him whether there has been any swiping right on the profile.”
Hiccups and Hookups features Lata Dutta in the role of a woman in her 40s who steps out of her 19-year-old marriage and is looking for a new relationship. It is Lionsgate Play’s first Indian original series set to premiere on November 26, 2021.
