Vijay Varma, who is renowned for his outstanding performances as a serial murderer and a wife abuser in the films 'Dahaad' on Prime Video and 'Darlings' on Netflix India, respectively, is about to enthral fans once more. He portrays a police officer in the gripping JioCinema series 'Kaalkoot' this time. In the recently released teaser, Vijay can be seen stationed in a tiny village while wearing the khaki uniform of a police officer.

His character may be seen writing a resignation letter in the trailer's opening scene, claiming the toll that previous cases have done on his mental health. However, his resignation is turned down, and he is given the task of looking into an event involving an acid assault. His 'Mirzapur' co-star Shweta Tripathi joins him in this gripping tale and plays an acid attack survivor embroiled in the investigation. We also catch a glimpse of Seema Biswas and Gopal Datt, who play his stern police officers.
The director of 'Kaalkoot' is Sumit Saxena, who is well known for writing the screenplay for Karan Johar's piece in 'Lust Stories' on Netflix India. The series is co-written by Sumit and Arunabh Kumar, the creator of The Viral Fever and an actor in TVF Pitchers. Anand Tiwari, Arunabh Kumar, and Viacom18 Studios are also co-producers. Fans can anticipate watching every episode in one sitting when they become available on Jio Cinema on July 27.
