Karan revealed that after his dispute with Kareena Kapoor in 2003, they didn't communicate for 1.5 years because of ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’. Kareena contacted Karan's father when he was diagnosed with cancer. According to the article, Karan stated, "She was like, I don't know what to say, so I told her, don't say anything; I know you're there. When he died, she was in Bangkok, we still hadn't reconciled, and she returned home the moment she landed from her shoot. We spoke the entire night. We returned to our original location. When we argued, I declared that I would never talk with her again."
Karan described his altercation with Kajol, which occurred some years after his altercation with Kareena. According to the article, Karan described it as an "emotional bond," adding that they had grown apart and believed their link would no longer be the same. Karan recalled texting Kajol and sending images of Yash and Roohi when they were born. They hadn't communicated in two years at the time.
"I said you didn't need to reply, but these are what my children look like—Yash and Roohi," Karan said. She responded, "I am just full of love right now. A month later, she stated that it was my birthday and that you didn't have to come, but I did. We cried, we hugged, and it was over."
Kajol and Kareena have both appeared in Karan Johar's films, including ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, and ‘My Name Is Khan’.
‘Do Patti’, directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, will star Kajol and Kriti Sanon. Do Patti is produced by Kathha Pictures and co-produced by Kriti Sanon. It was also scripted by Kanika Dhillon and will be available exclusively on Netflix's OTT platform.
