MS Dhoni set for his acting debut; unveils first look of his web series Atharva: The Origin
Former Team India captain and skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is all set to make his acting debut with the upcoming graphic novel, Atharva: The Origin. Dhoni shared the first look teaser of his upcoming mythological sci-fi web series on his Facebook handle and wrote, “Happy to announce my new avatar, Atharva.”
Dhoni will be seen fighting against the hordes of demons in this new graphic novel. Touted to be a "new age graphic novel," Atharva: The Origin is an adaptation of debutant author Ramesh Thamilmani's unpublished book of the same name.
The series will be produced by Dhoni Entertainment, the media company that was founded by Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni, in 2019. However, Dhoni had already worked on his biopic, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), starring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role. But this time it is different, as Dhoni is experimenting with graphic novels and is playing one of the characters himself.
His fans picked his biopic on their shoulders and made it a great hit, and they will do the same with his next project. In the world of cricket, Dhoni is currently brainstorming with the CSK think tank to build a good squad for the future.
The IPL 2022 mega auction takes place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13 and it appears that Captain Cool will be attending the auction, sitting at the Chennai Super Kings table.
