Netflix has also loaded up on new and returning series for this month's lineup. The site has a lot of new material coming out this month, including documentaries and features. This year, in honour of International Women's Day, Netflix unveiled the first looks for some of its most anticipated films and programmes. Let’s take a look:

Thar

Said to be set in the 1980s in the Rajasthan deserts, as the title suggests, Thar is inspired by Western Noir. It is touted to be a revenge thriller drama, marking the directorial debut of Raj Singh Chaudhary. Thar boasts a notable ensemble, including Fatima Sana Shaikh, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Mukti Mohan, and veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who plays various characters while also serving as the film's producer.

Qala

Directed by Anvita Dutt, Qala is described as a beautiful, heart-breaking story about a daughter who craves her mother’s love. Backed by Anushka Sharma's Clean Slate Filmz, Qala stars Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee, and marks the acting debut of Irrfan Khan’s son Babil.

Kathal

A woman-led comedy drama set in a small town centres around a local politician whose precious jackfruits (Kathals) go missing and a young police officer, Sanya Malhotra, who is keen to solve this strange case to prove herself. Yashowardhan Mishra makes his directorial debut with Kathal, which he also co-wrote with acclaimed, award-winning screenwriter Ashok Mishra.

Masaba Masaba 2

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, streaming giant Netflix India unveiled the first official poster of Masaba Masaba season 2. Masaba and Neena Gupta are tougher than the rest of the world. Masaba takes the stage in front of the cameras, while Neenaji takes the stage behind them. All the while, they're coping with new and old loves, as well as some seemingly impossible loves. Both women strive to turn their lives around by taking control of their employment, looks, friendships, and boyfriends.

She 2

Bhumi must now choose between side with the police or crime boss Nayak, as she is deeply immersed in the covert assignment with her newly discovered sexual liberation surfacing. Helmed by Arif Ali and Avinash Das, She stars Aaditi Pohankar, Vijay Varma and Vishwas Kini.

Mai

A devastated mother uncovers the culprits responsible for her daughter's terrible murder and undergoes a transformation from meek to cruel in order to get the truth. Produced by Anushka Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz, Mai stars Sakshi Tanwar, Raima Sen and Wamiqa Gabbi.
