Fatima Sana Shaikh has consistently exhibited her talent in films such as ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, ‘Ludo’, and ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ since her breakout performance in Aamir Khan's sports drama ‘Dangal’ (2016). She has also dabbled in the OTT arena with anthologies such as ‘Ajeeb Daastaans’ and ‘Modern Love Mumbai’, but has yet to venture into long-form fiction. Fatima is getting ready to embark on her new digital journey in November.
According to reports, Fatima Sana Shaikh will star in a thriller drama series for Sameer Nair's Applause Entertainment, which is known for producing streaming hits such as the ‘Scam franchise’, ‘Criminal Justice’, and ‘Rudra: Edge of Darkness’, among others. The yet-untitled show is reported to revolve around ashram life; however, specifics are being kept under wraps for the time being. Nitya Mehra, the director of ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and ‘Made In Heaven’, will co-direct this series with her husband, Karan Kapadia. The show's pre-production is now ongoing, with a targeted premiere date of mid-November.

Fatima Sana Sheikh on her Work Front:
Aside from this web series, Fatima is also in talks with Aamir Khan's production company about a film that might go into production in the first quarter of next year. She was slated to star in the remake of the Malayalam black comedy ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’ for Aamir's production, but it has been put on hold.

In terms of upcoming films, she has two in the next three months: Taapsee Pannu's ‘Dhak Dhak,’ which will be released on October 13, and Meghna Gulzar's ‘Sam Bahadur’, which will be released in theatres on December 1, 2023. ‘Metro… In Dino,’ Anurag Basu's ensemble cast anthology, is also on her schedule which will be released in theatres on March 29, 2024.
