Pankaj Tripathi to commence filming for Mirzapur 3 next week
Following the huge success of Mirzapur and Mirzapur 2, the focus has switched to the third season, which the fans have been eagerly anticipating for a long time now. Despite the fact that the release date for Mirzapur season 3 has yet to be announced, talented actor Pankaj Tripathi has informed that he will begin filming next week for the popular Prime Video series.
The Mimi (2021) actor recently stated in an interview that he is excited to begin filming for Mirzapur season 3, in which he plays the fan-favorite character of don Kaleen Bhaiya. He claims that the show satisfies his desire for power.
“This is a lot of fun to do, the show and the role of Kaleen bhaiya. I am actually a powerless man in real life, so I experience power only through Kaleen bhaiya. The hunger for power, which is there in everyone, gets satiated through Mirzapur,” he said.
Tripathi will see the theatrical premiere of filmmaker Srijit Mukherji's Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga on June 24 before commencing filming for season 3 of Mirzapur. Tripathi plays Gangaram, the patriarch of a poor farmer family experiencing hardships and poverty as a result of three consecutive failing monsoons. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Reliance Entertainment.
Tripathi concluded by saying that his characters in Mirzapur and Sherdil are on different extremities of the power spectrum.
