Ever since filmmakers Raj & DK announced their project ‘Citadel’ which is an Indian adaptation of The Russo Brothers series, fans haven’t been able to contain their excitement. While it was confirmed that Varun Dhawan will be the male lead of the project, the female lead was rumored to be South’s beauty, Samantha Ruth Prabhu. And now finally, On Wednesday, Prime Video announced that Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu would co-star in the Indian adaptation of the Citadel universe. The production is now taking place in Mumbai, according to the streaming site. The unit will next travel to North India before continuing to distant countries like South Africa and Serbia.

Samantha’s second collaboration with Raj & DK
Samantha will work with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K again after their previous collaboration on Season 2 of Prime Video's The Family Man, which starred Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role. They will collaborate on the Indian adaptation of Citadel.
