Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period series Heeramandi has been in the news ever since it's inception. Based on the lives of courtesans living in Lahore during the pre-1947 era, the project brings together talents like Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sonakshi Sinha in one frame.
As per reports, yesteryear actress Mumtaz has also been approached by Bhansali for an important role in Heeramandi. And from what we hear now her son-in-law Fardeen Khan has been finalised to star opposite Aditi Rao Hydari in the project.
The news was confirmed by the veteran actress herself. Refusing to divulge anything about her role in Heeramandi, Mumtaz said, "Nothing has happened on that front yet but Fardeen has shot for the show already."
Meanwhile, Fardeen is currently gearing up for the release of his comeback movie Visfot, which marks his return to films after a gap of almost 11 years.
Also starring Ritesh Deshmukh, Priya Bapat and Krystle D'Souza, Visfot is the Hindi adaptation of the 2012 Venezuelan movie Rock, Paper and Scissors. It has been directed by Cookie Gulati.
