Taj: Divided by Blood TRAILER: Naseeruddin Shah plays Akbar whose sons fight each other for the throne

Akbar declares that the firstborn son will not always inherit the kingdom in the Taj: Divided by Blood trailer. Akbar informs his three sons that when it comes time to make a decision regarding a successor, he will consider ability. The differences between the three are significant. In contrast to Prince Murad (Taha Shah), who feels as though the throne is solely his, Prince Salim (Aashim Gulati) is more interested in the arts and the royal lifestyle than the emperor's robes. In contrast to popular belief, Prince Daniyal (Shubham Kumar Mehra) is not as pure or unselfish as people might think. The counselor to Akbar informs him of his sons' conflict.

Aditi Rao plays Anarkali

Anarkali played by Aditi Rao Hydari arrives further disturbing the fight for succession. As she and Salim become closer, Akbar threatens to keep Anarkali in her place. The Mughal empire is depicted in the movie as having plenty of scandal due to the intrigue and personal affairs that go on inside the palace. The brothers must choose between their own happiness and the price of being king.
