Twitter removed historically verified blue ticks from all accounts on Thursday, April 20. Many notable Indians, including Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, had lost blue checks that allowed them to confirm their identities and distinguish themselves from imposters on the microblogging platform.
On Thursday, Twitter began removing the blue checks from accounts that do not pay a monthly fee to keep them. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn are among those who have appeared in the film. Sports stars like MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma had also lost their blue ticks.

Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most engaged Twitter users. He uses the medium to stay in touch with his supporters by providing updates on his daily activities. He communicates with his fans by sharing quotations, images, and other media. The blue tick on Twitter has caused quite a stir in recent days.
Amitabh Bachchan appears to have paid for the verified badge, although many other celebrities soon received their blue tick back without it. How so? Big B elaborated on this in his Twitter rage. Amitabh Bachchan stated in Bhojpuri that everyone with 1 million followers or more will receive a blue verified tick. What about him? He revealed that he had more than 48 million followers.

He had already paid for the badge. 'Khel Khatam, Paisa Hazam (Game Over, Money Disappeared)' he joked. Previously, when his blue tick was restored, Amitabh Bachchan posted a hilarious post about Elon Musk in Bollywood style. 'Tu cheez badi hai Musk Musk', he wrote.
Many government agencies, nonprofits, and public-service accounts around the world, as well as journalists and celebrities, were no longer verified. This has raised fears that Twitter's reputation as a source of accurate, up-to-date information, including in emergencies, may be jeopardized. Twitter has also created profile verification procedures. Twitter, for example, advises that in order to subscribe to Twitter Blue, an account must have been active in the past 30 days.
