Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited film 'Jawan' has had a dream start at the box office, setting new records for the highest opening day collection for a Bollywood film. The film has also taken over Google Search, with a special feature that greets users with a walkie-talkie icon and Shah Rukh Khan's voice when they type in any query related to the movie.

In India, 'Jawan' grossed Rs 65 crore net on its opening day, breaking the previous record held by Salman Khan's 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (Rs 53.35 crore). The film also had an overall occupancy of 58.67% in Hindi, making it the highest-grossing non-holiday release in the Hindi language.
In international markets, 'Jawan' was a huge success as well. The film topped the charts in Australia and New Zealand, and it also secured the third spot in Germany. 'Jawan' has grossed a total of Rs 25.57 crore in international markets on its opening day.
The film's success is being attributed to its strong pre-release buzz and the star power of Shah Rukh Khan. The film is directed by Atlee and it also stars Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra.
