‘Gadar 2’ has been making significant strides at the box office; however, Sunny Deol is reportedly facing an issue with the Bank of Baroda, which has issued a notice for the non-payment of dues exceeding ₹55 crore.
Actor Sunny Deol, who recently achieved success with his film ‘Gadar 2’, crossing the ₹300 crore milestone in the Indian box office, has been served a notice by the Bank of Baroda for outstanding dues totaling over ₹55 crore. According to a report from Timesnow.com, the actor's Juhu property is being put up for sale to recover the unpaid amount.
The notice, featured in a newspaper and shared by the portal, indicates that the Juhu property will be auctioned on September 9, with Sunny's father and actor Dharmendra named as the grantor. As of now, neither Sunny nor the Deol family has responded to the matter.
Although ‘Gadar 2’, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has achieved blockbuster status, a new report has revealed that Sunny is poised to feature in ‘Border 2’. The movie will reportedly be directed by JP Dutta, the director of the original 1997 film. While the original cast, other than Sunny, will not return, the film is set to feature a new generation of actors. An official announcement about the film is anticipated in the coming weeks.
‘Gadar 2's success continues to soar, with a current domestic box office collection of ₹336 crore. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, is expected to surpass the ₹350 crore benchmark and potentially aim for ₹400 crore. A sequel to the 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, the film unfolds in 1971 and follows Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) as he embarks on a journey to Pakistan to rescue his son, Charanjeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma), from the clutches of the Pakistani Army.
The movie also features Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, Rohit Chaudhary, and Rakesh Bedi.
