Kannur Squad: Mammootty’s Recent Crime Suspense Will Release On OTT On ‘THIS’ Date!

‘Kannur Squad’, a Malayalam film directed by cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj and co-written by his brother and actor Rony David Raj and Muhammed Shafi, stars Mollywood megastar Mammootty in the lead role. The picture was released in theatres on September 28, 2023, to critical praise and a strong box office performance. The film will now be available on OTT platforms as well.

After a tremendous theatrical run that saw it become the sixth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time and the third highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year, the murder thriller will be available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from November 17.

Disney+ Hotstar Malayalam announced on their official X (previously Twitter) profile, "Kannur Squad: The Mega Squad - Streaming Exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar from November 17th."

About ‘Kannur Squad’ Movie:

‘Kannur Squad’, the latest Malayalam crime thriller starring Mammootty, is still doing well in theatres. The film tells the true tale of a group of police officers who were members of the Kannur Squad, a criminal investigation squad founded by ex-Kannur SP S Sreejith IPS.

The plot is divided into two time frames. The first is set in 2015, when a team led by ASI George Martin (played by Mammootty) travels over Kerala's bordering states in search of a guy. The second timeline in 2017 is about a dacoit and murder case involving an NRI in Kasaragod and how the team solves the crime.

Mammootty Upcoming Movies:

Mammootty is presently filming his next film, ‘Turbo’, with director Vysakh. The film, written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, is the actor and director's third collaboration, following ‘Pokkiri Raja’ and its sequel, ‘Madhura Raja’.
