Lal Salaam Official Teaser OUT! Rajinikanth Drops A Special Surprise Video On Diwali!

‘Lal Salaam’, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, is set to hit theatres next year around the Pongal season. The film, which is described as a sports drama, also has a cameo appearance by Superstar Rajinikanth.

AR Rahman is writing the music for the film, which is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the label Lyca Productions. The film also has a cameo appearance by great cricketer Kapil Dev.

Aside from that, Rajinikanth has uploaded a special Diwali greetings video yesterday, wishing everyone success on Diwali and adding that he will see everyone in the film Lal Salaam as Moideen Bhai during Pongal.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth returns to the director's chair with ‘Lal Salaam’, following her earlier works in ‘3’ (2012) and ‘Vai Raja Vai’ (2015). The film is also her first movie since her divorce from Dhanush in 2022.

Interestingly, the Aishwarya Rajinikanth-directed picture will be released on Pongal 2024, the same day that Dhanush's ‘Captain Miller’ would be released. The Pongal release lineups are all looking exciting, and it'll be fun to watch it all unfold.

Rajinikanth’s Work Front:

Rajinikanth was most recently seen in the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed film ‘Jailer’, which was a huge box office hit. The film, which starred Rajinikanth, featured an ensemble cast that included Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and many more, as well as cameo appearances by Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, and Mohanlal.

Furthermore, Rajinikanth is now filming his next film with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel. The film, provisionally named ‘Thalaivar 170’, is believed to have a socially important premise that revolves around the life of a former Muslim police officer. Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rithika Singh, and Dussara Vijayan also star in the film.

Aside from that, Rajinikanth will appear in Lokesh Kanagaraj's film, provisionally titled ‘Thalaivar 171’, which has been causing quite a stir in terms of casting, with stars such as Raghava Lawrence, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Mammootty said to be contacted.
