Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director of ‘Leo’, who is awaiting his next release with 'Master' star Thalapathy Vijay in just a few hours, has disclosed why they had to cancel the audio launch that they had scheduled previously.
When asked why the team ‘Leo’ opted to cancel their audio premiere during a press conference for his film ‘Leo’, Lokesh responded, "I wanted to clarify this ahead of time as well. We cancelled the audio launch since the expected number of tickets needed for the entire staff was roughly 12,000, and the seats in the venue itself only had 6000."

He goes on to say, "Moreover, we came to know later on that in addition to the current estimate, approximately 70,000 to 80,000 tickets would've been needed."
Director Lokesh highlighted the recent catastrophe produced by the AR Rahman concert as an example without using the event's name, pointing out how much difficulties an event like that, with restricted headcount numbers, caused. As a result, the pandemonium that could have erupted in a free event like theirs would have been unmanageable, perhaps leaving a blemish on the video.
Lokesh also said that the production firm had planned to hold events in other countries such as Malaysia and Dubai, but when the decision was made between holding an event now and promoting the film within the nation, he opted to stay and promote the film.
When questioned during the same press conference about the recent incident at Rohini Theatre, when supporters destroyed the chairs into shambles during the trailer showing of ‘Leo’. Lokesh Kanagaraj responded, saying that anything like that should never have happened. Furthermore, he discussed how a trailer should be controlled, and the video that was presented in the theatre was just someone grabbing a YouTube link and playing it on their own choice, with no control over the producers.
