Thalaivar 171: Rajinikanth Is Reportedly Charging ‘THIS’ WHOPPING Amount For The Film!

2023 has proven to be a very momentous year for Rajinikanth. After producing mediocre performances, the superstar knocked it out of the park with Jailer. He now has two intriguing projects in the works, one of which is a collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj and is titled 'Thalaivar 171'. It's going to be a lot of fun, and the most recent news we've heard is about Thalaiva's unprecedented pay.

Rajini was not enjoying the finest run of his career, as he failed to deliver a hit of his calibre following 2018's ‘2.0’. None of the biggies managed to shine, whether it was ‘Petta’, ‘Darbar’, or ‘Annaatthe’. But everything changed this year when Nelson's ‘Jailer’ delivered a much-needed blockbuster. The film made historic business at the global box office and is presently the second-largest blockbuster in the Kollywood industry globally.

His two projects have been revealed thus far, and everyone is looking forward to his cooperation with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film, currently named ‘Thalaivar 171’, is Loki and Rajini's debut collaboration.

One can only imagine the buzz it's generating on the ground. Among the delight of moviegoers, a crazy rumour about Rajini's remuneration surfaced.

We saw shocking statistics of Rajinikanth fees shattering the internet for every film, but this time it's on another level. According to rumours, the actor is asking for 260–280 crores for ‘Thalaivar 171.’ Before settling on this compensation, Rajini is believed to have been given distribution rights for a certain region, which he declined.

If the rumour is accurate, Rajinikanth has made history by becoming the highest-paid actor in Asia. Interestingly, this is not the first time Rajini has led the Asian list, having previously surpassed Jackie Chan's earnings.

Sun Pictures, which previously produced Rajinikanth's Jailer, is producing ‘Thalaivar 171’ for the uninitiated. Following the success of Nelson's film, Kalanithi Maran (owner of Sun Pictures) presented Rajini with a BMW X7 and a profit-sharing payment.
