According to the most recent update, the directors of Rajinikanth's 1995 smash film ‘Muthu’ have announced that the film would be re-released in December of this year. The producers said on social media, “Muthu Re-Release This December 2023; Vandhutenu sollu. Na thirumbi vandhutenu sollu (Tell them I’m back) Fan-fav Muthu is coming back this December. Stay tuned for updates on the re-release!”

About ‘Muthu:
‘Muthu’ is an action film directed by KS Ravikumar that was released in 1995. The cast of the film includes Meena, Sarath Babu, Radha Ravi, Jayabharathi, Vadivelu, and many others. The plot focuses on a zamindar (Sarath Babu) and his worker (Rajinikanth) falling in love with the same woman and the events that ensue.
Rajam Balachander and Pushpa Kandasamy produced the film through their company, Kavithalayaa Productions. AR Rahman provided the soundtrack for the film, and Ashok Rajan was in charge of the photography.
Rajinikanth’s Work Front:
Rajinikanth will next be featured in a cameo role in Lal Salaam, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. He'll also be appearing in TJ Gnanavel's forthcoming flick, ‘Thalaivar 170’. Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and Rana Daggubati star in the film. The film's production has begun in Thiruvananthapuram and Mumbai.

Furthermore, the superstar has signed his 171st film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively named ‘Thalaivar 171’. Anirudh Ravichander created the soundtrack for the film, and Anbariv choreographed the action sequences. Raghava Lawrence is also said to be in discussions to portray the antagonist in the film.
